Nybsys’ Goal is to Offer Technology to Connect the Unconnected

Nybsys participated in the Wireless Internet Service Provider America conference, held in Louisville, Kentucky, from March 7-9. During the event, we engaged in numerous meetings with customers and partners as part of our ongoing mission to assist WISP providers in expanding internet access to remote and underserved regions in the United States and other parts of the globe.
Nybsys recognizes the importance of bridging the digital divide and making connectivity accessible to all. We provide economical 5G Fixed Wireless Access products that allow Internet Service Providers (ISPs) to serve hundreds of business and consumer customers from a single cell. Wireless technology is more affordable than trenching fiber in rural areas and wireless deployments efficiently connect remote offices, businesses, and work-from-home consumers.
The Impact of COVID-19 on the Digital Divide
The COVID-19 pandemic profoundly impacted the digital divide, existing inequalities were highlighting exacerbating the urgent need to bridge the gap. With the shift to remote work and learning, under-served communications and the lack of high-speed internet became more apparent. Those without reliable internet access were disadvantaged and unable to work, study, or access vital information and services.
The pandemic has highlighted the urgent need to address the digital divide, not only to provide equal access to information and opportunities and ensure that communities can thrive in an increasingly digital world. It has also increased awareness of the importance of affordable and reliable internet access. Many governments and organizations recognize the need to invest in infrastructure and policies to address the issue.
Concept of Fixed Wireless Access for Rural Communities
Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) is a concept that provides high-speed internet access to remote areas using wireless technology. This concept can be a game-changer in bridging the digital divide in rural communities where traditional wired solutions are not economically feasible due to the high cost of laying cables or fiber optics.
Regulatory Support for Fixed Wireless Access Networks in Europe and the United States
Regulatory support for Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) networks has been provided in Europe and the United States. This support comes in allocating spectrum to companies to build out FWA networks on a regional basis. This creates competition with incumbent carriers that may not deploy high-speed internet or 5G unless they reach a specific profit target per user in that coverage area. The spectrum allocation has allowed new players to enter the market and offer affordable FWA solutions to remote and under-served communities.
Competition and Affordability Benefits of Fixed Wireless Access
Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) products provide competition and affordability benefits for internet service providers (ISPs) and end-users. FWA products allow ISPs to maximize their infrastructure use and reduce operating costs. This cost savings can be passed on to end-users, providing affordable internet access at gig data speeds. Additionally, FWA products can be deployed faster than traditional wired solutions, enabling faster internet access to remote and under-served areas.
Economic Benefits of Using Fixed Wireless Access Products
Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) products have many economic benefits:
Cost-Effectiveness
FWA products eliminate the need for expensive infrastructure installations. The use of wireless technology significantly reduces the cost of providing high-speed internet access to rural communities.
Increased Revenue Potential
Nybsys’ FWA products can also allow Internet Service Providers (ISPs) to serve hundreds of customers from a single cell, reducing operating costs and increasing revenue potential.
Quickly Deployable
Another benefit is that FWA products can be deployed faster than traditional wired solutions. This faster deployment offers the users connectivity in days rather than weeks or months.
As a result, Nybsys’ FWA products offer a cost-effective and efficient way to bring high-speed internet access to under-served areas, unlocking economic opportunities for previously unable communities to access the internet.
Nybsys takes great pride in offering reliable products at an affordable price to the WISP community, enabling individuals in previously underserved areas to access high-speed internet.
This, in turn, helps to bridge the digital divide and provide equal opportunities for Americans to access critical online resources and services.
